Stoughton Trailers is hiring again and is expected to add dozens of jobs over the next few months, a company official said.
The Stoughton-based manufacturer of intermodal equipment is projected to hire 10-12 workers per week this quarter and is currently evaluating projections beyond that, according to Keith Wise, community relations manager.
“This is kind of following the projections of the industry,” Wise told the Hub last week. The company has been rebuilding its work force over the last couple years, a trend that also had been noted in the company’s nomination in this year’s Manufacturer of the Year honors.
Company officials in early 2011 had hoped to add as many as 500 employees by the year’s end. It ultimately added 300, bringing its total work force to 800 in 2011. Monday, January 23, 2012
